I contacted TLC Sport after my friend Emily had been constantly telling me that I needed a pair of their leggings in my life!

I went along and met Charlotte and Sara who are the women behind TLC Sport, which is based in Northampton. The brand has been going since 1984. They were absolutely lovely people who were passionate about what they do and the clothes they sell. They offered to support The Lewis Foundation with fitness wear and trainers for 2 big upcoming runs that I had. These runs were Rat Race Man vs Lake – an obstacle course marathon and Snowdon 15 miles of walking and climbing with the UK Mudd Queens.

I selected items from their reflective wear collection. I needed something bright and bold, as I would be running outdoors in the middle of nowhere. They did not disappoint. What I loved about TLC Sport clothing was the leggings were long enough for my legs (they were always normally too short!), the material wasn’t thin and there was no sliding down from the waist when moving.

I knew these clothes were going to take a serious battering with walking, climbing, sliding and crawling. I was really worried that I was going to destroy them in one wear and was wondering what I was going to tell Charlotte and Sara after!

Rat Race – Man vs Lakes – Lake District, 9th July 2016

The first event was Man vs Lakes. That morning, it was cold and wet and I felt I hadn’t trained enough. I didn’t have a clue how many hours I would be running for.  I wore the yellow reflective wear collection.
