The Amazing Northampton Run half marathon is the main event. 

Northampton Half Marathon

The route takes in Northampton’s most storied landmarks, a meandering course that tells the town’s history with each stride. Starting at the iconic Market Square, runners will head down towards the River Nene and follow it towards Sixfields Stadium, Franklin’s Gardens, and on up Spencer Bridge Road towards the Northampton Racecourse (home to the weekly Park Run). Participants will then run past the Northampton Cricket Ground, the 3rd of Northampton’s popular sporting venues on route, back towards the River Nene this time at the White Water Rafting centre on the Bedford Road. The final stretch will take the runners up towards the Northampton University and then back up through town finishing in the Market Square.
